Grignard reagents are organomagnesium halides (RMgX) formed by reacting alkyl or aryl halides (RX) with magnesium in dry ether or THF. As good nucleophiles, RMgX can be used as carbanions in reactions such as nucleophilic addition and substitution to produce carbon-carbon bonds. These widely used reagents however can be time consuming, dangerous to produce, and require air and moisture free environments.

A wide range of J&K Scientific Grignard reagents (R=aryl, alkyl, alkenyl, and alkynyl) are available for your convenience, stored in our unique J&KSeal bottles, which protect the reagents from exposure to air, water, and UV.
